2016 SAG Awards: Best and Worst Dressed – Check Out Our List! (@SAGawards)

At last night’s 2016 Screen Actors Guild Awards, many stars dazzled on the crimson carpet, while some lacked the glamorous luster they’re known to have. Here are the best and worst dressed starlets of the night! Enjoy!

Best Dressed

Helen Mirren (Woman in Gold, RED) hit the red carpet sporting a beaded Jenny Packham dress in a bubbly champagne color along with tons of Harry Winston diamonds. The dress featured a lovely V-cut neckline a fitting that suited her shape. I rate this ensemble a 9/10.

Eva Longoria (Telenova) chose a stunning emerald dress by Julien Macdonald that had many people talking. The plunging neckline seemed rather conservative compared to the actress’s visible abs, legs, and backside thanks to the dress’s see-through panels. I rate this jaw-dropping look a 9.8/10.

Emilia Clark (Me Before You, Terminator Genisys) was dazzling in Dior! She wore a fuchsia Dior Haute Couture ball gown that made her glow like spring flower! She finished off her breath-taking look with Dior Fine Jewelry earrings and simple rings. Her long bob swept right at her collar-bone which filled the void of a statement necklace. I rate this look a solid 9.5/10.

The lovely Rachel McAdams (The Notebook, Mean Girls) made a bold statement with her sultry Elie Saab gown. It detailed vintage-like dots and shimmery laced tulips. She finished off her romantic ensemble with Kotlar earrings, a Le Vian ring, and a fresh-faced look that complimented her dress well. I rate this one a 8/10.

Tina Fey (Mean Girls, Sisters) AKA the queen of comedy brightened up the event with her scarlet, halter Prabal Gurung gown. Paired with a simply elegant hairstyle, I rate her ensemble a 9/10.

Julianna Margulies (Ghost Ship, Stand Up Guys) chose to wear an ivory column dress with lovely silver detailing. The embellishments highlighted her waist line and the crisp color made her an eye-catching beauty on the carpet. I rate this look a 8.5/10.

Saoirse Ronan (Brooklyn, The Host) wore a slightly sheer, blush-toned dress from the Michael Kors Collection along with Forevermark earrings. This look was definitely my favorite one of the night. It was youthful, tasteful, and conservative in the sexiest way possible. Ronan gets a 10/10 for this one!

The last actress to make my Best Dressed list is Laverne Cox (Orange Is The New Black) Her Bollywood meets Hollywood makes her look like such an elegant starlet. The wine colored Atelier Prabal Gurung gown features a high slit, mid-riff exposure (not too much skin), and flowy draping. This amazing looks gets a 9.5/10 for sure.

Worst Dressed

Julian Moore (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1/Part 2)chose to wear a bold citron sequined Gevenchy Haute Couture dress that was just a complete eyesore if you ask me. The dress made her look like sore thumb out there and did very little justice to the usually-glamorous star.

Lily Rabe (The Whispers, American Horror Story) chose a yellow floral gown that was layered over a grayish-lavender skirt. Although the gown was too-die-for by itself, it just didn’t sit well with the actress’s light complexion. The yellow floral detail just looked completely washed out. Sorry Rabe!

Sophie McShera (Highway to Dhampus, Cinderella) totally confused me with her asymmetric sleeve and gaping rib cage cut-out. The flamingo-pink column gown would have looked 10x better without the awkward arm-cape. In addition to the dress, her dark makeup didn’t flatter me either.

Brie Larson (Room, Trainwreck) chose an interesting pale blue Atelier Versace dress with draping cut-outs and a high slit. The dress defined her waist nicely, but I just don’t get the knots. It just made the actress look like she had a wardrobe malfunction minutes before the carpet and the only solution they could think of was tying it back together.

Carol Burnett (The Carol Burnett Show) The SAG Life Achievement Award recipient arrived on the carpet sporting a green embellished ensemble and a pair of comfy Ugg slippers. You heard that right, Ugg slippers at the SAGS! But before she made her walk down the carpet, she switched over to a pair of classic black pumps. We’re just glad she didn’t wear Crocs!
