2021 Golden Globes: Full List of Nominees

The nominees for the 2021 Golden Globe Awards are finally here!

Earlier today, six-time Golden Globe Award winner, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Golden Globe winner, Taraji P. Henson, revealed the finalists in a select number of categories for the 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards on behalf of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) on the Today Show, including “Best Motion Picture,” Best Television Series, Best Performance by an Actress, Best Performance by and Actor, Best Director and more. Following their TV announcement, the ladies revealed the rest of the nominees via a livestream on both E! News and GoldenGlobes.com.

Netflix dominates the 78th annual event with 42 total nominations for its movies and shows, including “Mank,” “The Trial of the Chicago 7,” “The Queen’s Gambit” and “The Crown.” Amazon, home to “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm” and “Small Axe,” followed with 10 nominations, while Hulu also picked up 10 nominations for fare like “Normal People” and “Palm Springs.”

The top contenders that had everyone talking were in the motion picture drama category: “The Father,” “Mank,” “Nomadland,” “Promising Young Woman” and “The Trial of the Chicago 7.” In the musical or comedy category, “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm,” “Hamilton,” “Palm Springs,” “Music” and “The Prom” will battle it out for a golden piece of hardware.

Lastly, notable programs that  TV categories include “Emily in Paris,” “The Flight Attendant,” “The Great,” “Schitt’s Creek” and “Ted Lasso” in the musical or comedy field; while “The Crown,” “Lovecraft Country,” “The Mandalorian,” “Ozark” and “Ratched” lead the way in the drama category.

Co-hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, the 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards air LIVE from on Sunday, February 28th @ 8PM ET/5PM PT on NBC. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the show will be bi-coastal, with Fey at New York’s famed Rainbow Room and Poehler at the iconic Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. Nominees will also join throughout the evening’s three-hour show from locations across the world.
