5 Facts You Didn’t Know About Los Angeles Based Half the Animal

Music lovers, we found your new favorite band!

Meet Half the Animal — the band that began as a reunion for lifelong friends Chase Johnson (vocals) and Nick Gross (drums).

Johnson and Gross came out of the gate hot, making a mark independently with their 2016 debut single “Babylon” quickly generating over 2 million streams. Preceding a 2017 cross-country tour alongside Atlas Genius, the follow-up banger “Bad Bad Love” landed on Spotify’s coveted “New Music Friday” playlist.  They recently wrapped a tour with Great Good Fine OK, and will be back out on the road again in September.

Something that makes Half the Animal worth of a listen is the way they fuse infectious melodies and irresistible vocal hooks with resounding, relatable lyrics. With a sound that’s hard to ignore, we predict big things for the band the rest of the year.
