Get ready for some real nostalgia, as Green Eggs and Ham is officially out on Netflix!
With Jared Stern as showrunner and Ellen DeGeneres as executive producer, the story of Green Eggs and Ham is like a postmodern Planes, Trains and Automobiles through the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss.
Sam — played by Adam Devine — rescues the rare Chickeraffe from the Glurfsburg Zoo, hides it in a briefcase, and attempts to make his way to Meepville where he can charter a cold air balloon to take the Chickeraffe to his island home. Guy (played by Michael Douglas) just flopped his last big chance at being a world famous inventor for the industrial Snerz Co. He packs up his invention in a briefcase and resigns to give up on his dreams and become a paint watcher.
A chance meeting at a diner with Sam, and a switch up with the briefcases results in these two unlikely souls getting mixed up on an adventure that takes them on a journey of self discovery.

Last week, Netflix hosted its “Family Fun Weekend” with the world premiere of Green Eggs and Ham in Hollywood, where Ellen was joined by cast members Diane Keaton, Ilana Glazer, Adam Devine, Keegan-Michael Key, and showrunner Stern on the green carpet that “Seussified” with mechanical arms holding what else skillets and plates full of green eggs and ham.
Inspired by the beloved classic, celebrity guests were welcomed to Meepville where they could visit the Glurfsburg Zoo to take photos in the Chickeraffe cage, make friendship bracelets and test their luck for surprises at the hambulance. Rachel Zoe and sons Kiaus and Skyler took part in Meepville games. If that’s not all… the rare and elusive Chickeraffe also made a guest appearance in the cast photo after bolting from his cage in Meepville!
Celeb Secrets hit up the green carpet to chat with Adam Devine, Keegan-Michael Key and showrunner Jared Stern to talk about telling the iconic story to the new generation, as well as who motivates them in their everyday activities, similar to how Sam-I-Am motivates Guy-Am-I throughout the series.
