The highly-anticipated singing competition show The Voice returns to NBC this coming Monday and CelebSecrets4U has all the details on what to expect from the show’s eighth season straight from coaches Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams, Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera.
When asking what Adam, Pharrell, Blake and Christina are hoping for this season, the male coaches really want to see Team Christina pull a winner this year. The 34-year-old went on to say that she would love to have a winning contestant this year, but also brought up that its not necessarily all about winning the competition this season. Aguilera stated that she wants to have fun with the artists this year and be apart of the competitiors’ musical journeys.
Pharrell Williams, agreeing with Aguilera, said, “Aside from the compeitiors’ experiences, they’re really talented people who have done really well in their own careers. I haven’t won with a contestant yet, but I’ve enjoyed it so much because you see these kids light up when they see something different in themselves. Not that you brought out, but you may have just pointed at it and they see it, receive it and retrieve it and take it to another level. That in and of itself is a win for me. But it doesn’t win the show so I remain content with that. I also remain winless.”
Aside from wanting to see a win from Team Christina, veteran coach Adam Levine is really hoping to discover a breakout artist on The Voice during its eight season. However, the Maroon 5 singer doesn’t believe it will be easy. “I think people kind of judge success as if it’s a kind of all-or-nothing thing and its not,” he said. “Being successful is really difficult and a lot of things have to come together at the right moment in order for that to happen, whether it’s a TV Show or a record label.”
The Voice returns for its eighth season on Monday, February 23rd @ 8PM ET/PT on NBC.
