Adelaine Morin is sending a powerful message to girls everywhere with the release of her song “Girls Supporting Girls.”
The 21-year-old Internet personality chose Celeb Secrets to be the ONLY media outlet on set of the playful song’s music video, which she says is much different from her previously released project called “Yellow.”
“I wanted to tell a story [with ‘Girls Supporting Girls’],” Adelaine tells Celeb Secrets. “I wanted to show just how girls can rise when lifting each other up and that you don’t have to be mean to each to rise up.”
Renting out the entire Palisades High School in Santa Monica, the music video shows Adelaine living out her cheerleader dreams with her BFFs, however, things get a little tense when the mean girl in her class tries to bring her down in any way possible. After talking (and hugging) it out at the school dance, Adelaine shows the mean girl that ALL girls can be successful when they support each other.
Featuring young women of all shapes, sizes and ethnicities, Morin hopes that the visual will hit home to everyone while watching, as she made sure to embrace inclusivity when casting her lady squad.
“For every ‘Girls Supporting Girls’ shoot, I try to have different ethnicities, sizes and all different everything. I wanted to make sure we were as inclusive as possible so that everyone feels included while watching,” she says.
