Recording artist Alex Bar recently dropped his debut single “Weapon” along with an incredible music video!
The sexy and energetic song combines some of Bar’s favorite elements of music to create an original sound. He says, “From the moment the song starts to the end you should be feeling sexy yet wanting to really get down and dance at the same time. The lower vocal on the verses was a stylistic decision to change up what a pop audience usually hears. As far as the bridge we wanted to go completely left with it. Since this is the first single I am putting out I wanted to give the audience a typical pop bridge with an uplifting sound to drive you home for the rest of the song.”
Accompanying the song is a stunning visual, directed by Bar himself. Bar revealed that he wanted viewers to have fun with the video, despite the subject matter of the song. He says, “I wanted to make a point to not take myself too seriously with this video. I’m not shying away from the fact that it’s called weapon so I thought the best option was to have a giant water gun fight. I make music that makes you want to dance and have the time of your life, and I want my videos to reflect that.”
With a sound, all his own, and visuals rivaling your favorite stars, Alex Bar has made his presence known with “Weapon” and this is just the beginning for the rising star. Bar is excited to continue releasing music that he is passionate about. He says, “I hope this song makes you excited for what’s to come and gives you a fun addition to your favorite playlist.”
