American Idol XIV: “Movie Night” Recap – March 19, 2015 (@AmericanIdol)

American Idol XIV celebrated the big screen on its second week of live shows Thursday evening (March 19) at CBS Studios in Los Angeles.

The show kicked off with the Top 11 contestants performing their own rendition of “Get Lucky” with music legend Nile Rogers. Following the epic performance, it was time for host Ryan Seacrest to announce who will “get lucky” and return to perform for America next week. The Top 10 contestants were announced in the following order: Adanna Duru, Daniel Seavey, Ravyon Owen, Nick Fradiani, Joey Cook, and Tyanna Jones.

After Tyanna’s performance, judge Jennifer Lopez took the stage to perform her song “Feel the Light” on national television for first time ever. “Feel the Light” is off the soundtrack of her new film Home, which opens in theaters next Friday.

After JLo graced the stage, Quentin Alexander, Maddie Walker, Clark Beckham, and Jax sang their hearts out for America. Qaasim Middleton was the last man standing, singing “Come Together” hoping for a save from the judges. Middleton definitely delivered the best performance of the night, resulting in the judges using their season save to have him stay in the competition.

Make sure to tune in to American Idol XIV next Wednesday, March 25 @ 8PM ET/PT to see your favorites fight for the title!
