After months of waiting, we can finally announce that Summer Forever will be available for viewing this weekend!
With only four days until the premiere, CS4U is giving you the breakdown on what you can expect from the film straight from Anna Grace Barlow, who plays Chloe in the film.
Summer Forever follows three friends – Sydney (Megan Nicole), Liv (Alyson Stoner) and Chloe (Anna Grace Barlow) – who make a “YOLO” pact to live it up during their last weekend of summer before heading off to begin their post-high school lives. One of the first of its kind, this digital movie musical also stars Megan Nicole, Alyson Stoner, Ryan McCartan, Stephen Colletti and Jensen Paniterre.
Anna Grace plays Chloe, the brains of the group who plans to go to college and become a successful doctor. But Chloe’s dream is to throw a huge party that all the cool kids attend, will her besties be able to help her have her “YOLO” moment?
CelebSecrets4U caught up with Anna Grace Barlow recently to chat all things Summer Forever! In our interview, Anna Grace talks about her character Chloe, what it was like being apart of a musical and her favorite memory from filming. Anna Grace even shares with us what she would do if it was “summer forever” and gives advice to YOU if you’re moving away fr college this fall — make sure to read the full Q&A below!

CS4U: So what can you tell us about your new movie Summer Forever?
Anna Grace Barlow: “Summer Forever is about a three girlfriends who make a pact to each complete one dare before they go their separate ways at the end of the summer. My character, Chloe, the quirky one of the group, is going off to college to study medicine at Columbia, but not before throwing a rager party while her parents are away as her dare!”
CS4U: The characters in the movie are going their separate ways to college, school just started for most or is about to start, what advice would you give to our reader that are moving away from home for school and going to begin new chapters of their lives?
Anna Grace Barlow: “I’m originally from Alabama, and I moved to New York to go to school for theatre. The best advice I could give readers is: take risks! Make friends, meet new people, and get a fun job! I worked at a cupcake store in Midtown Manhattan. It really helped me get familiar with my new city! Also, call your mom. She wants to hear from you!”
CS4U: Since the movie title is Summer Forever – if you could have “summer forever”, what would you do?
Anna Grace Barlow: “Well, it always feels like summer here in LA! I have this donut floatie for my pool, and I love to just lay out and relax. That’s what I would do, just float. And relax. Forever.”
CS4U: Summer Forever is about taking risks with your friends and doing crazy things before the summer ends. What’s the craziest thing you have ever done?
Anna Grace Barlow: “I lived in New York, but I visited LA and absolutely fell in love with it. I ended up just staying! It was the biggest risk I’ve ever taken in my life!”
CS4U: What was it like working on set with the other cast members? Do you have a favorite memory?
Anna Grace Barlow: “It was an honor to work with the other cast members. I saw Ryan in Heathers Off-Broadway, so I knew he was crazy talented. I’ve known who Alyson Stoner is for my whole life, of course. She is incredible to work with. She’s so wise and so grounded. I’m lucky to know her! I had never heard Megan Nicole’s music before working together, but now I am literally her biggest fan. I think all four of us shared a really special bond and a real friendship. I think it really shows through in the film.
My favorite memory would have to be blasting Megan Nicole’s “Fun” while shooting a scene where we were walking in heels! That song is perfect for strutting.”
CS4U: Since we’re speaking of music, what’s been your summer jam since summer is almost over?
Anna Grace Barlow: “I love Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean?” & “All Night” by R5.
CS4U: Why do you think our readers should check out Summer Forever when it airs online?
Anna Grace Barlow: “Readers should check out Summer Forever because it’s relevant. It teaches a great lesson in the ups and downs of friendships and how important it is for young girls to stick together. Not only does it have an incredible message, it’s hilarious. Plus the music is amazing and SO catchy!”
CS4U: If you are able to tell us, what’s your favorite song in the movie?
Anna Grace Barlow: “It’s a tie between Megan’s first song “Lovesick Undercover” and Alyson’s sassy song “Make an X.” Megan and I got to dance around a pool with her on that track. It was so fun!”
CS4U: Do you have any other projects in the works that you can tell us about?
Anna Grace Barlow: “I’m recurring on Scream Queens on FOX, which is premiering on September 22. You can catch me at the beginning of the pilot and in a few other episodes as well!”
CS4U: Since we are CelebSecrets4U, can you tell us a secret about yourself and about a cast member?
Anna Grace Barlow: “I think I would have to say… I love watermelon. I could eat it for every single meal. And… Alyson has extremely ticklish feet. It’s serious. You can’t even get close to them!”
