Blown Away by BLO/OUT: The Philly Blow Dry Bar That We Can’t Get Enough Of

You never think “standard” when getting done-up by blow dry bars across the country. But, there’s one in particular in Philadelphia’s beautiful Rittenhouse Square that takes getting pampered to the next level.

It’s called BLO/OUT. Tucked away in the hustle and bustle of Chestnut Street, you may not even realize it’s there, but it packs a punch once you step inside.

Immediately you’re drawn to the bright colors, beautiful fixtures and modern-chic design the business has to offer. But the fun doesn’t just stop at first glance.

Juliet and I were welcomed by friendly staff who wanted each of us to walk out at the end feeling satisfied with our looks. – This was extremely important to both of us as our event for the night was kicking off the first of multiple red carpets for Jingle Ball over the course of a month.

Under a time crunch, they exceeded our expectations. With only a few hours to work with, they made every minute count. My stylist even had a booklet on-hand to help me narrow down my vision for the perfect blow out. It seriously was as simple as showing them the looks we were aiming for, to a finished product to die for.

And if you’re really looking for that extra flare, there’s more. At one point, we were even offered cocktails to sip on while being pampered. Have we convinced you yet?!

The salon offers a flat rate for your blowout – $40 – and they allow you to choose from 6 different styles. While they may be known for their “blo/outs” it’s not the only service you can get. From keratin treatments and a Moroccan oil treatment or scalp massage to makeup services, the owners give you a taste of the world of beauty.

From hair, to makeup and final touches, Juliet and I were confidently red carpet ready for our night at Jingle Ball. – Two different looks, each nailed perfectly. Check out the results below!
