“When AGT first asked my interested in participating I was thrilled,” Crum tells Celeb Secrets exclusively. “I have never looked at AGT as competition but more as an opportunity to showcase! What an incredible platform to show the world what you’re made of!”

CS had the opportunity to sit down with Crum to learn more about his time on AGT: The Champions as well as his upcoming music dropping later this month. Keep scrolling to learn more + watch America’s Got Talent: The Champions when it airs Monday nights @ 8PM ET/PT on NBC.

Celeb Secrets: Welcome back to the America’s Got Talent stage! Was it weird getting back into “competition mode” and performing in front of the judges again?

Brian Justin Crum: “No, I was excited to get back to the drawing board! I had to figure out what I wanted to say and HOW I wanted to say it.”

Celeb Secrets: Is there something you may have learned from being on AGT Season 11 that you applied during your journey on AGT champions?

Brian Justin Crum: “As an artist I am constantly looking at myself and wondering what I can do differently to get my point across. I realized that I let a lot of outside voices into my head the first time I was on AGT. “Somebody to Love” and “Creep” were MY choices and very true to who I am. I feel that my voice got a bit lost once we got into the live shows and it became about trying to replicate what “Creep” did. This time around I was very focused on looking into my past as a musician and grabbing from my history on stage. I’m excited to show the world a deeper side of myself and WHERE I come from, the Theatre!”

Celeb Secrets: We see that some other contestants from Season 11 are back for “Champions” as well — what’s been your favorite memory from being with your old competitors?

Brian Justin Crum: “I’m sure everyone will say their season was the best but… I really feel like Season 11 put the show into a new light! We had such an incredible range of performers and it really felt like the best of the best! I’m honored to have been a part of that season and even more excited to see SO MANY of my fellow S 11 crew back!”

Celeb Secrets: Will you be performing some of the “fan favorites” you did when you competed on AGT?

Brian Justin Crum: “I’m going to create NEW fan favorites this time ;)”

Celeb Secrets: Aside from AGT — we hear you have new music on the way. What can you tease about it?

Brian Justin Crum: “Lots of new music coming in near future! A mix of covers and originals.. I’m really excited to announce my first single “Circles” coming out in February!”

Celeb Secrets: Since we are Celeb Secrets, what’s a behind the scenes secret from being on AGT that we wouldn’t know when watching each week?

Brian Justin Crum: “The show flows seamlessly… what you don’t see is that we are on set for 12 hours many days, waiting..waiting.. So be gentle with the acts, a lot of times they have been stuck in a holding room all day before getting to perform! It’s a long exhausting process!”
