Brooke Barry is gearing up for the release of her new single “Trick Or Treat” and Celeb Secrets has your first listen!
The sassy pop song, according to the 19-year-old, is about a two-faced boy who “pretends to be sweet and kind to her but actually is manipulative and a compulsive liar.” Barry’s playful lyrics and killer beat arrive just in time for the best season ever — spooky season!
“In the chorus, when he comes knocking at her door, she doesn’t know is she will be getting a “trick” (bad behavior from him) or a “treat” (he will pretend to be sweet again),” she tells Celeb Secrets in terms of the song’s symbolism.
Co-written by Barry and soon-to-be in-laws Lukas Scott and Haven, “Trick Or Treat” was written in just six hours, with production complete in a single day.
“We weren’t in a rush — we just had so many ideas flowing and none of us got a writer’s block,” Brooke says. “I think we make a pretty great team considering they will be my brother and sister soon!”

Hailing from Orange Park, Florida, Brooke’s career began from a very young age when has skyrocketed since her TikTok video set to Taylor Swift’s “Welcome to New York” went viral in 2018. Her debut single “Wake Up” was released in 2019 and her social media fan base continues to grow, where she now has over 3.1M TikTok followers and 354K Instagram followers.
Since relocating to Nashville, Barry has been busy in the studio working on her debut pop project while planning a wedding with her fiancé Cole.
