If you watched the 2018 Billboard Music Awards last night (May 20), you probably saw BTS on your television screen multiple times throughout the show. The Korean boy band completely DOMINATED the 3-hour ceremony, as fans around the world lit up the MGM Grand Garden Arena with purple lights and chanted “B-T-S” the entire evening.
Band members RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook took home the award for Top Social Artist for the second consecutive year as well as made the global television debut of their new single “FAKE LOVE.”
In their acceptance speech RM stated, “this time we had a chance to think about what social really means for us and some of our fans told us that our music really changed their lives,” adding “we realized that our words really carry weight.”
