Just a few hours after the news surfaced that Camila Cabello would be leaving American girl group Fifth Harmony, she finally broke her silence and gave her side of the matter.

Camila posted an extensive statement on her Twitter and Instagram detailing her side of the heated break-up as well as expressing her shock of what her fellow band mates had to say. While the other ladies claim that they were only informed of Camila’s departure “via her representatives”, Cabello claims that she had spoken to them at length about going her own way prior to the debacle.

“The girls were aware of my feelings through the long, much-needed conversations about the future we had during tour. Saying that they were just informed though my representatives that I was ‘leaving the group’ is simply not true,” Camila asserts.

Although Cabello was planning out her solo career already, it seems to have been put in effect sooner than she expected. “I did not intend to end things with Fifth Harmony this way,” she states.

We’re all shocked to see Camila go (especially with how amazing of a year they’ve had), but truthfully, we all saw it coming. Ally Brooke Hernandez, Dinah Jane Hansen, Lauren Jauregui, and Normani Kordei have confirmed that they will carry on as 5H without Camila.

So who’s telling the truth? Did the girls really mean those things in the statement? Who broke up with whom?
