Carolyn Miller is gearing up for the release of her new single “Ain’t About That” and Celeb Secrets has your first listen!
The upbeat pop-country tune, according to the 31-year-old, “celebrates the moments and feelings with a loved one that can’t ever be bought, recreated, or replaced.” Miller’s heartfelt lyrics are needed during this difficult time, as we find ourselves turning to the ones we care about now more than ever. The song spreads love and joy despite the turmoil the world is currently in.
“It’s not about how much gold is in the bracelet he or she gave you, but rather the little magical moments that money can’t buy,” she tells Celeb Secrets exclusively.
Written and recorded prior to the Coronavirus pandemic in Nashville, Miller teamed up with Lance Carpenter and Makayla Lynn who penned the track. For those of you who don’t know, Carpenter also wrote Kelsea Ballerini‘s “Love Me Like You Mean It,” which topped Country music charts in 2015.
“[Lance] is an incredible writer and good friend of mine, who also co-wrote my last two singles,” Miller shares. “I texted him at the start of this year and told him I was getting ready to head back into the studio and asked if he happened to have anything in his catalogs that was uncut and might be a good fit. He sent me this one and I couldn’t get the chorus out of my head. I was singing it for weeks!”
Carolyn has been performing professionally since the age of eight. A graduate of the Boston Conservatory at Berklee College of Music, Miller’s background is in theatre, film and TV, as well as voice-overs and commercials. Influenced by country music artists like Carrie Underwood and Faith Hill, along with pop icons Kelly Clarkson and Adele, Miller has used her big, powerful voice to create her own style that captures the true essence of country-pop.
She made her mark in country music with the release of her debut EP Unbreakable in 2018, which peaked during pre-order at #7 on iTunes Country charts, followed by “What You Can’t Have” in and “Summer Time” in 2019. She has opened for artists such as Chase Rice, Ashley McBryde, Walker Hayes, and kicked off NY’s Country 94.7 Stars and Strings event at the Barclays Center starring Sam Hunt, Dustin Lynch, Chris Janson, Runaway June, and more.
“Ain’t About That” marks the first of three new singles from Miller, which are expected to be released throughout the rest of 2020.
