We are SO excited that The Other Kingdom is airing on Nickelodeon tonight!
As you all know, we flew up to Toronto to visit our friends from Make It Pop to get the scoop on the show’s second season. What we didn’t tell you, however, was that we had the opportunity to get an exclusive first-look inside Nickelodeon’s newest live action series The Other Kingdom!

Before we were brought on-set, we were shown a “sizzle reel” (aka series trailer). Although the show did not have a name yet, we knew it was going to be a hit.
Created by Tommy Lynch (the same guy who created Make It Pop), The Other Kingdom follows the journey of Fairy Princess Astral (Esther Zynn), who has to choose between being a fairy princess or becoming human, as she is set to inherit the crown of her royal kingdom of Athenia.
After the sizzle reel, we met stars of the show — Esther Zynn (Astral), Callan Potter (Tristan), Celina Martin (Morgan), and Taylor Adams (Devon) — for a private set tour. We were able to see both the “fairy world” and “the human world,” which included Athenia and its caves, each cast members’ bedrooms, and the high school where The Other Kingdom takes place in. We’ve been on many set tours and not gonna lie, this set tour had to be the best set tour we’ve ever been on.
After the set tour, we sat down with Esther, Callan, Celina and Taylor to talk all about the show and their characters. They told us what the atmosphere is like during a typical day on set, their favorite spot to film a scene in, and why they think you should tune in this evening. You know we had to ask them about some behind-the-scenes secrets, too… watch the exclusive video down below for more.
The Other Kingdom premieres tonight, April 10th @ 7PM ET/PT on Nickelodeon and will be showing new episodes every Sunday evening at 7PM ET/PT.
