Once again… you requested and we answered! Back in February our fans FLOODED CelebSecrets4U’s Twitter page and email inboxes requesting a special feature on Orlando boy band Before You Exit. Check out our Q&A with Connor, Riley Braiden and Thomas below. Make sure to keep your eye out for their first full length album this spring! Did ya know Alex from All Time Low and Nick Santino from A Rocket to the Moon helped the guys with the recording process?
How did you get your band name, Before You Exit?
Our band name came from when the idea to make a difference in the world, Before You Exit. We also found out later that the acronym of the band name spells “B.Y.E.”.
How was the tour with Allstar Weekend, Hollywood Ending, and The After Party?
The tour was amazing and we were so fortunate to be playing with these bands! All of the guys were awesome and we can’t wait to get back out on the road.
Do you have a favorite memory from touring?
I think some of favorite memories come from talking to the line outside almost every night and getting to know all of these new people. It was so much fun to be able to meet new faces every day and by the end of the night, you sometimes feel like you’ve known them forever.
Your new single, “End of the World” is out on iTunes now. What can you tell us about that track?
“End of the World” is a feel good song that we loved when we wrote and it really stuck with us. We also love playing it live and the reaction to the song has been even better than we ever expected.
On tour, you guys performed a cover mashup from The Script. What made you choose those songs?
Those songs just came together so perfectly when we were putting them together. There wasn’t really a choosing process, we were just messing around with both songs and thought it would be really cool to put them as one piece. We loved the way everything came together with the video and the song.
Your version of One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful” was recently posted on your YouTube Channel, and it has been taking the world by storm ever since! Did you think the cover would get such feedback?
We never expected the reaction that we received from that cover! It is amazing how our fans really grabbed onto our cover of that and we also picked up some new fans along the way!
What’s next for Before You Exit?
We are going to write and record in LA for our new album. We’re shooting for a summer release and then we will hopefully be touring soon after!
Since our website is called CelebSecrets4U, can you each share one secret or hidden talent about yourself?
Connor: I’m actually a decent artist. I can draw pretty well!
Riley: I’m pretty good at throwing food up and catching it in my mouth.
Braiden: I’m a pro Call of Dutyer. I don’t think Dutyer is a word…
Thomas: I work out a lot. It’s an addiction.
