The countdown to the 2015 MTV Movie Awards has officially begun!

With only 4 days until the winners are revealed, CS4U is giving you a breakdown on what you can expect from the summer’s blockbuster kickoff event hosted by none other than Amy Schumer.

Today, we are sharing our thoughts on who will be taking home the coveted popcorn statue for Movie of the Year, Best Male Performance, Best Female Performance, Best Scared-as-S**T Performance, Best Breakthrough Performance, Best Shirtless Performance and Best Comedic Performance.

The 2015 MTV Movie Awards airs LIVE from Downtown LA’s Nokia Theater at L.A. Live on Sunday, April 12th @ 9PM ET/PT on MTV.

Movie of the Year

  • “American Sniper”
  • “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1″
  • “Guardians of the Galaxy”
  • “Gone Girl”
  • “The Fault In Our Stars”
  • “Boyhood”
  • “Whiplash”
  • “Selma”

Because the MTV Movie Awards are voted by the fans and they are of all ages, I doubt Academy-Award nominated movies are going to win. All of these movies are seriously great in their own way, but I think The Fault In Our Stars is going to take this one! They have a lot of fans and watched by both girls and boys of many ages, plus Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley — dare we say more?

Best Male Performance

  • Bradley Cooper, “American Sniper”
  • Chris Pratt, “Guardians of the Galaxy”
  • Ansel Elgort, “The Fault In Our Stars”
  • Miles Teller, “Whiplash”
  • Channing Tatum, “Foxcatcher”

I really want Miles Teller to take this award because if you’ve seen Whiplash since his performance in it was so breath-taking, raw, and real, but I’m betting my money on Ansel Elgort! The ladies looooovvveeee him!

Best Female Performance

  • Jennifer Lawrence, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1″
  • Emma Stone, “Birdman”
  • Shailene Woodley, “The Fault In Our Stars”
  • Reese Witherspoon, “Wild”
  • Scarlett Johansson, “Lucy”

This will be a close call between Shailene Woodley and Jennifer Lawrence!! Both of their movies were based on books and have a ton of fans, but I think Shailene Woodley has been in the public eye more; especially because of her new movie Insurgent, so I’m thinking she’s taking home the popcorn.

Best Scared-as-S**T Performance

  • Rosamund Pike, “Gone Girl”
  • Annabelle Wallis, “Annabelle”
  • Jennifer Lopez, “The Boy Next Door”
  • Dylan O’Brien, “The Maze Runner”
  • Zach Gilford, “The Purge: Anarchy”

HAVE YOU SEEN GONE GIRL?! Rosamund Pike deserves this! Out of all the nominees, she was the craziest and most insane of them all — Gone Girl made us “scared as s**t!”

Breakthrough Performance

  • Ansel Elgort, “The Fault In Our Stars”
  • Rosamund Pike, “Gone Girl”
  • David Oyelowo, “Selma”
  • Dylan O’Brien, “The Maze Runner”
  • Ellar Coltrane, “Boyhood”

Ansel Elgort, hands down. The 2015 MTV Movie Awards will be the year of The Fault In Our Stars, Shailene Woodley, and Ansel Elgort, so we choose Ansel Elgort as our breakthrough performance winner. We still love you though, Dylan O’Brien.

 Best Shirtless Performance

  • Zac Efron, “Neighbors”
  • Chris Pratt, “Guardians of the Galaxy”
  • Channing Tatum, “Foxcatcher”
  • Ansel Elgort, “The Fault In Our Stars”
  • Kate Upton, “The Other Woman”

Zac Efron, Zac Efron, Zac Efron!!! No competition. Can he rip his shirt off again this year? PLEASE?!?! Those abs are ab-tastic!

Best Comedic Performance

  • Channing Tatum, “22 Jump Street”
  • Chris Pratt, “Guardians of the Galaxy”
  • Rose Byrne, “Neighbors”
  • Chris Rock, “Top Five”
  • Kevin Hart, “The Wedding Ringer”

We really want to give this one to Rose Byrne because she is the only woman nominated in this category and her role in Neighbors had us dying hysterically — “Just keep it down!” However, we’re more than positive Channing Tatum is taking home the popcorn this year! He’s role was hilarious in 22 Jump Street and we think more people enjoyed this movie than Neighbors.
