Charmed reboot headed to CBS!

la-et-st-alyssa-milano-rose-mcgowan-not-excite-001By the looks of it witches seem to be on their way this October. CBS is looking to reboot the popular drama series Charmed. CBS TV Studios already has a script deal with Sydney Sidner and the Party of Five producer and writer Chris Keyser.  These two are getting together to reimagine the original series. Charmed ran for eight seasons from 1998-2006

The original series of charmed was centered about three sister witches, played by Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs, Shannen Doherty, and Rose McGowan, who use their witchcraft to battle the forces of evil.

Two of the original cast mates went on twitter and wrote how they felt about the Charmed reboot. Alyssa Milano tweeted, “The thing about them doing a #charmed reboot is…it just…it feels like yesterday. It feels too close.”

Rose Mcgowan does not seem to like the idea of the reboot by tweeting, “lame lame lame lamertons.”

The project is still early in the development process and has not yet made a pilot commitment.
