Who is hosting?

Fan-favorite musician Doja Cat will be taking center stage to host the upcoming 2021 MTV Video Music Awards. The 25-year-old rapper is currently nominated for six categories, including Video of the Year for “Kiss Me More.”

The megastar is set to perform a medley of her top-charting hits “Been Like This” and “Your Right,” which are both from her Planet Her record. It’s no secret that Doja Cat was born to perform. However, she recently shared with Variety that her nerves to host the legendary event are at an all-time high.

“The only thing I’d be nervous about is people telling me to do anything that I don’t want to do. That’s kind of it, “ she laughed. “The thing is, when I talk, I ramble, and I go on for a little too long, and that’s just a character trait that I have. I hope I don’t do that that night, But I think it’s going to be very fun, and I’m just going to do what I do, which is be cringe. That’s basically it. God help us all,” she adds.
