CelebSecrets4U goes backstage for the first week of live shows for American Idol XIV!
Last night, the show began with Empire‘s Taraji P. Hensen bringing host Ryan Seacrest the envelope with the names of contestants who will be performing that evening. Top 10 – Tyanna Jones, Quentin Alexander, Clark Beckham, Daniel Seavey, Maddie Walker, Jax, Qaassim Middleton, Adanna Duru, Joey Cook and Rayvon Owen – then performed for judges Harry Conick, Jr., Jennifer Lopez, and Keith Urban and America’s votes.

In between the performances, Jussie Smollett & Yazz performed their number one single “No Apologies,” which can be found on the season one soundtrack for Empire, for America, the judges, and contestants.
With only one spot left and two contestants remaining, it was time for Ryan Seacrest to announce who will be returning to American Idol next week. Nick Fradiani was saved thanks to America’s votes and performed an acoustic version of Aloe Blacc’s “Wake Me Up” for Jennifer, Harry, and Keith. Sarina-Joi Crowe was still able to perform for America and the judges, hoping to receive a save from either Jennifer, Harry, or Keith. Unfortunately, the judges did not save Sarina-Joi and her journey on American Idol ended this evening.
