CelebSecrets4U goes backstage for the seventh week of live shows at American Idol XIV!

The evening kicked off with a clip of Quentin Alexander‘s altercation with judge Harry Connick, Jr. from last week’s show, explaining why Quentin said that things were “Wack” on Idol. After we were reminded yet again of this awkward situation, soccer stars Alex Morgan and Abby Wambach took the stage with host Ryan Seacrest for a special announcement. The girls revealed that the winner of American Idol XIV will have the opportunity to record the official coverage anthem for the Women’s World Cup Championship airing on FOX Sports this year — exciting, right?

After the special announcement, it was time to get into the results. The first contestant put into the top five was Jax, singing her own rendition of “Are You Gonna Be My [Guy].” Nick Fradiani, Clark Beckham and Tyanna Jones were also saved for one more week in the competition, performing “Harder to Breathe,” “Yesterday” and “Party in the USA,” respectively.

After the first round of performances, America learned that Quentin Alexander and Rayvon Owen (again?) were the bottom two contestants this week and will participate in the last Idol Fan Save vote via Twitter for the season. Quentin performed “Light My Fire” and Rayvon performed “I’m Not the Only One,” respectively for their first songs.

For the second round of performances, Nick Fradiani rocked out to “Maggie May,” Tyanna Jonesslowed things down with “Heaven,” Clark Beckham told us that he wants to be our “Boyfriend” (ugh <3<3), and Jax gave us her take on “White Flag.” To try to get a few more votes, Quentin Alexanderperformed “Shake It Out” and Rayvon Owen performed “Go Your Own Way” for America.

After the Idol Fan Save vote, it was announced that Rayon Owen was saved for the fourth week in a row (this guy is so smooth) and Quentin Alexander would be sent home. The top five contestants will be performing on the Idols tour this summer.
