The countdown to the X Games Austin 2015 has officially begun!

With only one day left until the athletes hit the skate park, CelebSecrets4U is giving you the breakdown on what you can expect from the world’s best as they battle it out for a spot on the podium in select skateboard disciplines.

Today, we are sharing our thoughts on who will snag the medals for Skateboard Park.

Skateboard Park offers 12 riders the opportunity to test their skills on a unique transition-based concrete and wood- hybrid course. In Round One, skaters will take two runs each, with a 50-second max run time. Their best score will count toward their ranking. The top six skaters overall will advance to the Final where they will each take three runs under the same format.

Competitors will be judged based on degree of difficulty, variety, height, distance, and execution of tricks, along with continuity of run, originality, style and use of the entire course.

Check out our predictions for Skateboard Park below…

INVITED ATHLETES:

  • Pedro Barros (BRA)
  • Curren Caples (USA)
  • Greyson Fletcher (USA)
  • Rune Glifberg (NOR)
  • Ben Hatchell (USA)
  • Aaron Homoki (USA)
  • Bucky Lasek (USA)
  • Ben Raybourn (USA)
  • Ronnie Sandoval
  • Tom Schaar (USA)
  • Alex Sorgente (USA)
  • Raven Tershy (USA)

PREDICTIONS:

1st Place: Pedro Barros dominates park/bowl comps, winning 7 of his 7 X Games SKB Park appearances and earning silver in the other two. Pedro is a four-time X Games SKB Park gold medalist who also owns two silver medals from X Games LA in 2011 and X Games Munich in 2013. For four years in a row, from 2010 to 2013, Pedro earned the title of Top Overall Park Rider from World Cup Skateboarding. We think Pedro will be taking home the gold once again.

2nd Place: Curren Caples has two X Games medals (also Barcelona silver) and is a force in Park. Curren took 1st and 2nd place at X Games Munich and Barcelona. We think at his young age, he is a force to be reckoned with. We believe he will be taking home the silver this year.

3rd Place: Ben Hatchell  is a regular on X Games Park podiums, 4 medals in 6 XG starts. Ben got third place in this category at X Games Munich and we think he will be getting third place this year.

What are your thoughts on our predictions for Skateboard Park? Make sure to see who claims the titles TOMORROW — Saturday, June 6th @ 1:00PM ET on ESPN.
