Can you believe the SEASON TWO finale of Hunter Street is premiering tonight?! We can’t either!

In the big episode titled “Hunters Forever,” Tess (MaeMae Renfrow) and Jake (Wilson Radjou-Pujalte) desperately try to convince relatives that the mole has framed Erik (Ronald Top); but Sal’s (Daan Creyghton) evidence is needed to prove Erik’s innocence and stop the thieves from escaping with the crown.

Q&A: MaeMae Renfrow Spills Secrets About ‘Hunter Street’ Season 2

We had the chance to chat with Daan Creyghton — who plays Sal on the show — not too long ago and he dished behind-the-scenes secrets from filming, what his favorite scenes are, and what its like being apart of the Nickelodeon family with a successful TV show. Creyghton also shared with us how he balances acting and school at one of Amsterdam’s top international teen academies and his love for soccer.

Celeb Secrets: How has the reaction been with the second season of Hunter Street?

Daan Creyghton: “So far, they’ve liked it. The reaction we get the most is “I can’t wait for the next episode to air”. They seem excited for season 2.”

CS: Season 2 starts off with a brand-new mystery – talk to us more about it.

DC: “Erik (the father) is being framed for a crime and the kids want to help clear his name. During these adventures, the kids find themselves in difficult, mysterious and comedic situations.”

CS: What can fans expect as the season unfolds?

DC: “More mystery, more humor, more siblings, more secret rooms, more storylines and most of all, newer exciting adventures. Sal will meet someone who is also a techie, the siblings will go on lots of exciting adventures and do everything in their power to find out who is trying to frame Erik and why they are doing it so they can help him.”

CS: Any future storylines you can share about your character?

DC: “Sal is becoming more social and, as the people who watch Hunter Street season 2 have already seen, Sal meets and falls for a girl who is also a techie. This storyline will be developed further during the episodes. I am afraid that’s all I can tell you right now.”

CS: Is there one scene or episode you’re excited for people to see?

DC: “I liked the scene with the food fight a lot. It was so fun to film and when I watched it on television, it looked fun as well. Next to that, the castle scenes were so amazing to shoot – I hope that will be visible on television as well. Not only was the castle very special to film, but the scenes are very exciting. I think the television viewers will be on the edge of their seats.”

CS: What’s your favorite thing about being a part of this successful hit show?

DC: “There are a lot of amazing things. It is a fun and talented group of people to work with. We have a close bond together. We love to prank each other. Next to that, we are so fortunate to film at a lot of amazing locations in the Netherlands. Also, I love to see how well the show has been received by our fans and how supportive all our fans are. I love to see their posts on social media. They go out of their way to show their support.”

Nickelodeon

CS: How do you and the rest of the cast members spend downtime on set?

DC: “Dancing, singing, playing games in the greenroom and just chatting with each other.”

Any secrets from behind-the-scenes that you can share with our readers?

DC: “Thomas must take off his shoes for some scenes because he is so tall they can’t get him in the shot. In the show, I do a magic trick in one of the episodes and it took me an entire set of playing cards before I mastered it. My little brother Tom taught it to me. I think my whole family knows now how to do this trick.”

CS: What do like to do when you’re not working?

DC: “I love to play basketball, chill with my friends, go to the movies, travel and shop for cool sneakers and/or outfits.”

CS: If you could guest star on another Nickelodeon show – past or present – which one would you pick?

DC: “I would go with School of Rock. I think the entire cast is amazing so to be able to play in the show with them would be fantastic. I also love music. That combination would be so lit!”

CS: Who are some of your career idols?

DC: “My idols are Kevin Hart because he is so funny and talented and I love his clothing style. I also think Ansel Elgort is pretty cool. He is a really good actor, he literally can play any role. I hope to be like him one day!”
