When you have comedic legend David Spade and Academy award-winner Nat Faxon as the lead roles in a film, you know you’re bound to laugh your ass off throughout the entire thing. And that’s exactly what we did when watching Father of the Year; Netflix‘s newest comedy that’s available for viewing on the streaming platform.
Produced by Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions, the raunchy flick follows two recent college graduates — Larry (Matt Shively) and Ben (Joey Bragg) — who have a drunken debate about whose father would win in a fight. It gets taken way too seriously by their idiot dads Mardy (Faxon) and Wayne (Spade) and jobs are lost, relationships ruined, futures destroyed, and best friends come of age as they come to grips with who their fathers really are.
Celeb Secrets hit up the red carpet premiere at the Arclight Cinemas in Hollywood last week to chat with Nat, Joey, and Matt about the coming of age comedy as well as their favorite moments from filming. Following the red carpet, we headed inside the theater to see what all the hype was about and it didn’t disappoint! Filled with funny moments and life lessons, Father of the Year is the perfect movie to watch with your friends on a summer night over some drinks.
