Demi Lovato Reveals She Suffered from a Heart Attack and 3 Strokes in Her Docuseries Trailer (Watch)

Demi Lovato just shared the trailer for her YouTube docuseries, Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil, and we’ve got literal chills all over our bodies from watching it.

The almost three-minute teaser gives us a look into Demi’s world after her near-fatal overdose back in July of 2018. The singer-songwriter openly and honestly talks about her struggles with substance abuse and is finally telling the full story behind what happened.

Demi’s family and friends discuss how good Demi is at hiding her pain and making everyone believe that she’s doing okay. Throughout the trailer, we see clips of the singer seemingly happy and partying before it cuts to clips of her a month right before her OD.

“I don’t even know why I’m sober anymore,” Demi says in the trailer.

Elton John and Christina Aguilera also appear in the docuseries and share the struggles that come with being in the spotlight and being a celebrity at such a young age, which Demi has had to deal with since she was little.

After her loved ones retell their stories of watching Demi fight for her life at the hospital, Demi explains how her doctor told her she only had five or 10 minutes left to live after she suffered three strokes and a heart attack following her OD.

The trailer was premiered at the Winter TCA Press Tour and Demi mentioned that the 4-part docuseries is going to touch on more than just her battle with substance abuse. The series will include her engagement and then split to actor Max Ehrich, her current sobriety, the coronavirus pandemic, and the aftermaths of her OD.

She revealed that she was left with brain damage that has caused her a lot of problems with her vision, to the point that she can’t drive a car anymore and even had trouble reading because of how blurry her vision was.

“I’ve had a lot of lives, like my cat, you know? I’m on my ninth life. I’m ready to get back doing what I love, which is making music,” Demi says, as the trailer offers a first listen to her new song also titled “Dancing with the Devil.”

This docuseries will serve as exactly that for her. She’ll finally get to put out her full story for her fans and the rest of the world to watch.

Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil premieres on March 23 on YouTube. Let us know what you think of the trailer by either leaving a reaction at the bottom of the post or by sending us a tweet at @celebsecrets.
