Dennis Basso Taps Lisa Rinna and Her Daughters to Close Fall 2020 Runway Show at New York Fashion Week

Dennis Basso unveiled his new Fall/Winter collection at NYFW: The Shows 2020 and to no surprise, it was one of the best shows we’ve seen all week.

The famed designer packed out Gallery I at Spring Studios on Sunday (February 9) for the 61-look presentation and the audience was something you don’t normally see at New York Fashion Week anymore. Filled with longtime customers, friends, family and select media, Basso’s show was one of the only ones that didn’t have a front row taken up by influencers and reality TV stars. And it was such a breath of fresh air, as it brought back the true glitz and glam of what a fashion show was really like before the age of social media.

Designs that graced the runway included outerwear and embellished cocktail dresses with Basso’s iconic furs from both his ready-to-wear and QVC lines for women of all shapes and sizes. Changing things up a bit, the New York-based designer also included several men’s looks that were worn by gorgeous male models who strutted down the runway.

While Basso may be known for running things the “old fashioned” way, he didn’t hold back when it came to his epic finale. Describing it as a “mommy and me Instagrammable moment,” Dennis tapped Lisa Rinna and her two daughters, Delilah Belle Hamlin and Amelia Gray Hamlin to close the show.

Donning a gorgeous floral print with rich pinks, Rinna wore the design on a stunning ball gown while her daughters rocked it in shorts and a shift dress. The ladies joined Basso for one last walk around the runway before the show ended, dancing along to Sister Sledge’s iconic “We Are Family” while the designer shook hands and thanked everyone sitting front row.
