Dreamscape Virtual Reality Experience Will Let Los Angeles Travel to Another World

Calling all LA adventurers! Are you ready to get back to exciting trips? Well, there are four you can do with just a drive to Westfield Century City.

Dreamscape’s immersive virtual reality experiences are getting ready to reopen this week (Thursday, May 6) to the public and they have exciting adventures for the whole family.

A favorite for film fans, DreamWorks Dragons Flight Academy allows visitors to jump on the back of a dragon pal from their hit series How to Train Your Dragon. You will join Hiccup, Toothless, Astrid and Stormfly as you learn how to fly and head to the Hidden World on a rescue mission.

The other experiences are Alien Zoo, which will take you on a journey into outer space and get you up close and personal with some of the galaxy’s most dangerous species. The Blu will have you go deep underwater to reunite a family of whales. And Curse of the Lost Pearl is for those who dare to try and break an ancient curse.

We at Celeb Secrets wanted to channel our inner Viking and decided to join Hiccup and his friends on their journey to the Hidden World.

The 35-minute adventure was breathtaking and allowed us to be fully immersed in the world. Upon check-in, we were able to choose our avatars and dragons and then went into a waiting room where there were props from Berk where the characters live.

You then head into a room where you quickly learn how to fly your dragons. Once you get on the vehicle and strap on your hand sensors and VR goggles, you are ready to go.

Within minutes you feel like you are flying and can literally feel the wind blowing through your hair. Depending on which vehicle you sit on, you might even get hit by ocean water or dragon snot. With the graphics looking as good as they do in the film, it’s like you are literally part of How to Train Your Dragon.

This should be the future of the film industry with its cinematic designs, out-of-body experience and rush of energy.
