Alright, we’re gonna be real AF with you… we haven’t been that bored in quarantine. From learning TikTok dances and tie-dying clothes to listening to new music and binging our favorite Disney classics on DisneyPlus, we actually have been keeping pretty busy during this Coronavirus pandemic!
While we are ~somewhat~ enjoying our time at home, we will admit that we miss that in-person interaction with our friends, family and other important people in our lives. It looks like celebs feel that way about their fans, too, and are jumping on the new digital platform Taki to get closer with them while in quarantine.
Many of you may be asking yourself this — what is Taki? To sum it up, think Cameo meets Patreon. Taki is a new platform where you can request a celebrity – actors, content creators, gamers, athletes, and more – to deliver a custom video message to friends, family members, or even yourself! Created by parent company Rally, fans can receive quick shoutouts and personalized content, including original music, expert critique and even a digital duet.
With the launch of the new features, in addition to written text, fans submitting an order now have the option of adding a link to an Instagram post; marking the first time a fan can include a static image or video in their request.

One of our favs Drew Seeley has joined Taki and is giving High School Musical fans (aka, us) the content they need during quarantine. Serenading a fan with an a capella version of the film’s hit song “Breaking Free,” Seeley says he’s really been enjoying filming these videos for some of his biggest supporters.
“I’m really enjoying fulfilling these new orders! My fans are really creative and it’s fun that they’re now able to include videos and images in their requests. The new layout with the side-by-side videos is something unique that Taki is nailing,” he said in a statement.
