Dylan O’Brien is Back on the Big Screen for New Thriller ‘Flashback’ (Watch)

Our favorite Maze Runner heartthrob is coming back on the big screen!

After gaining success in the Maze Runner series, Dylan O’Brien his hitting the big screen for his upcoming psychedelic thriller,Flashback.

The film, which was initially titled The Education of Fredrick Fitzell, follows a depressed Fredrick Fitzell (played by O’Brien), whose dealing with death of his mother while trying to move on as he’s approaching 30. He starts having unexplainable visions of his former classmate, Cindy (played by Maika Monroe), who had vanished in high school. In order for his visions to stop, Fredrick must find out what happened to Cindy by taking a mystery drug called Mercury, and try to regain his memory.

“It’s trippy, but incredibly human. I think the emotional depth of the story will surprise people,” Dylan tells Entertainment Tonight.

The writer and director of the film, Christopher MacBride went on to explain, “If you are a fan of O’Brien, know you’re in for something special. One of the things that excites me most about this film is people finally getting to see how good Dylan is in it. He gives an incredible performance. I can’t wait for people to see what I saw him do on set.”

Flashback will hit select theaters on June 4 and will be available everywhere you rent movies. It arrives on Blu-Ray and DVD on June 8.
