6 Things You Need to Survive Coachella This Weekend

Let the final countdown for Coachella to begin!

We’re merely single digit numbers away till the biggest festival of the year. Are you ready to hit the California desert or are you still waiting to pack?

Whatever your answer may be, the Celeb Secrets team is here to help with a list of essentials to make sure your Coachella experience is the best ever.

Coachella takes over Indio, CA this Friday, April 15th and wraps on Sunday, April 17th and will feature performances from LDC Soundsystems, Ellie Goulding, Guns ‘N Roses, Calvin Harris, Sia, The 1975, G-Eazy, Halsey, The Chainsmokers, Zedd, and A$AP Rocky. For more information, visit https://www.coachella.com.

Here are some festival staples to bring to this year’s event that some of your favorite social influencers love:

Stars like Laura Marano love their “Rosebud Balm,” but you can get a dupe called “Nivea Lip Butter” for a much better price. Your lips need to be hydrated at all times in the hot desert sun. You don’t want dry lips when you’re singing to your favorite artist!

Cleansing Wipes

yes-to-cucumbersSome of my favorite wipes are the “Yes Products,” especially Yes to Cucumbers because it leaves my face and body fresh and hydrating. The desert gets hot, sweaty, and sticky and you need to refresh yourself; not to mention if you want to wash your hands right before you’re going to eat and don’t want to wait the long, dreading lines. This not only leaves you refreshed when the sun becomes too unbearable, but clean.

Vlogger Amanda Steele loves “Benefits Dream Screen.” not only does it protect you from the sun, but if you’re an extremely oily person like myself this product is oil-free. You can put it on your face before you start applying your make-up. Sunscreen is an essential because you’re outside in the sun all day and don’t want to burn or be harmed by the harmful rays.

Sunglasses aren’t just eye protection. The right pair pulls your look together! Coachella weather can get into high 90’s to 100’s some days and you want to be able to battle the sun while you’re watching your favorite artist perform. Make sure to pack the right pair or pairs to compliment your outfits. Some of my favorites come from the brand Quay Australia.

I personally can’t survive Coachella without a backpack to pack all my essentials because it’s not much fun carrying all your stuff around in a purse or your pockets. Make sure your backpack is small and light because you’re going to be out all day and don’t want to be complaining about carrying your bag around. I love fringe for this festival! You can find cute, affordable steals at Target!

Lastly, bring a scarf! Not only does a cute boho scarf tie your outfit all together it is extremely beneficial in so many ways. Vanessa Hudgens loves colorful, boho chic scarfs for the festival. Scarfs can be used as coverage from the windy sandstorms, a staple for your outfit, a head piece for the sun, or even as a “blanket” to sit on when your relaxing on the grass waiting for your next favorite artist to perform.

I’ll be on site for Coachella this year and can’t wait for all the festivities! You can follow my journey at @KenniaCardenas1 and keep checking back to Celeb Secrets for all your Coachella news.
