The third annual iHeartRadio Music Festival, the biggest music festival of the year, was over the weekend (Sept. 20 and 21) in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand. The festival is a star-studded event that brings the top music artists of today along with music legends to perform on one stage.
The concert included artists such as, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Drake, Elton John, Maroon 5 and many more. This music festival not only brings music legends together, but also gives the opportunity to introduce up and coming artists with the Rising Star contest. The winner of the Macy’s iHeartRadio Rising Star contest was The Summer Set.
This year not only was the festival two days, but this was the first year iHeartRadio decided to have the iHeartRadio village. Artists such as, The Wanted, Avril Lavigne, The Band Perry, and Jason Derulo performed. Cher Lloyd was also one of the performers and she brought out special guest Ne-Yo to perform their song, “It’s All Good.”
Miley Cyrus was the only artist, who not only performed on the iHeartRadio village stage, but the main stage later that night as well. She sang three songs including a new song called “Look What They’ve Done To My Song.”
Miley performed “Wrecking Ball” for the first live, during her performance she broke down crying. Miley’s fans shared nothing but love and support during her emotional performance. She ended by thanking her smilers and reminding them that she loves them.
