On Saturday we attended the Citadel Outlets 11th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Event in Los Angeles, which featured Victorious’ Ariana Grande, American Idol’s Kris Allen and Colton Dixon, and Shake it Up’s Roshon Fegan. Despite the cold weather, some fans had been waiting since 7AM to get a front row view of the performers! Fans had the opportunity to purchase lanyards featuring their favorite artists, with the proceeds going to the charity of the night, Toys For Tots, which collects new and unwrapped toys to distribute to less fortunate children throughout the United States.
The night started out with Roshon wowing the crowd with his dance moves, completing his three-song set with his Christmas duet, “All I Want,” with good friend and Victorious star Leon Thomas. This was followed by a performance by Colton Dixon, who showed off his vocals on a beautiful cover of the Christmas classic “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel.” Kris Allen performed “Monster” off his latest album Thank You Camellia and his breakout hit “Live Like We’re Dying,” to the delight of his fans. Finally, Ariana Grande performed a five-song set to a hyped, adoring crowd of her dedicated fans, including her single, “Put Your Hearts Up,” her cover of Justin Bieber’s “Die In Your Arms,” (which she claimed was a fan-favorite), and two Christmas songs—“All I Want For Christmas Is You” and a stunning rendition of “O Holy Night,” both with the St. James Choir. The evening was topped off by the lighting of the outlet mall’s Christmas tree, with all of the performers and Santa Clause in attendance.
This fun, pre-Christmas concert airs Friday, November 23rd on FOX!
