Disney’s California Adventure gets a taste of the wild west during The Lone Ranger world premiere on Saturday afternoon (June 22nd).
A giant red carpet down the Park’s iconic Hollywood Boulevard was lined with thousands of park guests cheering for the film’s stars, filmmakers, and celebrities in attendance. The Lone Ranger’s horse Silver made an appearance along with the actual train engine built for the film. Ticket sales from the event benefitted the American Indian College Fund. Time Warner Cable gave fans that were not able to attend a front row view of the afternoon’s festivities via live stream.
The Lone Ranger is a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes. Native American warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.
Tons of your favorite stars from Disney Channel, Disney XD, ABC Family, and ABC were in attendance for the big day! Check out our interviews with the cast of The Lone Ranger below.
