Finn Matthews just dropped a new single “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” on Friday, and it’s bound to be your new summer anthem!

The track features tropical synths that heighten the carefree vibe of the track, highlighted by Finn‘s breezy vocals. It was also co-written by one of our favs Kendall Schmidt, so even if you haven’t listened to Finn’s music before (which you should do right now) you know it’s bound to be a hit!

“The song is about how nice it would be to get away from the stress and drama of our everyday lives,” Finn says about the track. “It was an amazing learning experience to work with someone who has reached a level of success that I aspire to reach.”

“Wouldn’t It Be Nice” is the follow up to his most infectious release “Julia,” teen anthem “Half Hearted,” and emotional ballad “I Wrote A Love Song.
For those of you who don’t know, Finn‘s career started when he found a mentor in Elijah Blake, who has penned hits such as Usher’s “Climax” and Rihanna’s “No Love Allowed,” after they happened to meet each other one day in a recording studio. Live Nation has since partnered with Finn to help launch his career. At 17, he has moved from the suburbs of Atlantic City, NJ to Los Angeles where he has dove into his music career head on. He recently performed with Swedish singer-songwriter Léon at the Ones to Watch showcase.
