New Jersey native Frawley diligently studied voice, dance, and musical theater in school for as long as she could remember, but it was when she started posting covers of Rihanna, Adele, Demi Lovato, Tori Kelly and Alessia Cara online that her world would completely change, and news flash… it was for the better.
Fast forward a few years and Frawley’s profile grew. She ultimately inked a publishing deal with First Access Entertainment and Warner Chappell, leading to signing with Island Records in the summer of 2019. Since the record deal, the 19-year-old has dropped multiple buzzworthy singles including “Hard Boy,” “Losers,” and “Easy” among others.
“I grew up listening to a lot of Celtic and Trad music, so I like to incorporate the acoustic elements from that and tie it into my sound by weaving it throughout each song, but not making necessarily the focus point,” she tells Celeb Secrets.
“I draw from friendships and that seems to be a really big topic right now in my songwriting. I just draw from everything that I go through — all the positive and negative things and I twist it.”
“They all sound like love songs, but to me they are all about my friends and the breaking up with friends, because it is just a strong as breaking up with someone you are in love with. It’s essentially the same thing and it’s my process of letting that go.”
