Every Tuesday in October, YouTube Gabi DeMartino is giving us Blood Queens — her own take on the hit show Scream Queens that centers around a group of girls as they evade a series of deadly horrors. The best part? Blood Queens stars queen bee Gabi (as Gabi Oberlin of course), her sister (Alessandra DeMartino), her BFFs (Alex Byrd, Nashaly Torres) and even her boyfriend (Collin Vogt). Gabi also serves as writer and executive producer, with additional help from her friends Mike Leddy and Thomas Hughes.
Celeb Secrets headed to Gabi’s hometown in Bethlehem, PA for the last day of filming, where we got the scoop on everything Blood Queens. From storylines and Easter eggs to favorite moments and plans for next season, the 24-year-old and her BFFs spill ALL in our latest exclusives.
“It’s not so much a parody of Scream Queens anymore. I kind of dug deep into myself and kind of wrote something that was me. It’s refreshing to just create something in your head and see it happen in real life that is completely separate in any other entity that already has been done,” Gabi tells Celeb Secrets host Juliet Schroder.
“This show is completely darker than it’s ever been. I’m really excited about it because I’m more dark than fluff and this is right up my alley. Because we don’t have a killer this season, its just supernatural powers we’re dealing with and the horizon is endless. With a killer you are very limited with scenes and creativity, and I love to make things up. It’s been so fun.”
