When we heard that Bella and the Bulldogs was renewed for a second season on Nickelodeon, we could not contain our excitement!

Bella and the Bulldogs follows Bella Dawson (Brec Bassinger), a confident, caring and talented teenager, suddenly finding herself fulfilling a lifelong dream but also having to navigate the world of her teammates Troy (Coy Stewart), Sawyer (Jackie Radinsky) and Newt (Buddly Handelson), without losing her two best friends, Pepper (Hayley Tju) and Sophie (Lilimar) from the cheer squad.

In tonight’s new episode titled “Root For Newt,” Bella (Brec Bassinger) goes to bat for Newt (Buddy Handelson), trying to convince Coach to put him in the game. Unfortunately, it seems Newt’ll need more than great hair a killer guacamole recipe to get some field time.

CS4U caught up with Haley Tju recently to chat all things Bella and the Bulldogs! In our interview, Haley talks about what its like having over 20 MILLION people watch the show, what she’s looking forward to most about season two, and the epic pranks the cast pull on set. She even talks about visiting Paris for the first time and her super-cool hidden talents!

Haley got her start in acting at age four in a Pizza Hut commercial and hasn’t stopped since then. She has worked on numerous hit television series, such as Hannah Montana, Desperate Housewives, The Suite Life on Deck, I’m in the Band, Mike & Molly, The New Normal, Jessie, The Thundermans, and See Dad Run. She is also the voice of ‘Sqweep,’ a sassy and fun alien, on the Nickelodeon animated series Monsters vs. Aliens, inspired by the hit DreamWorks film.

Bella and the Bulldogs airs on Saturdays @ 8PM on Nickelodeon. Check out our Q&A with Haley below!

CS4UI want to congratulate you on season two of Bella and the Bulldogs! How does it feel to have a second season?

Haley: “Thank you! It’s awesome, it’s great! It’s kind of crazy, I feel like it was just yesterday when I booked the job! So yeah, it’s amazing.”

CS4U: Where would you like to see Pepper go in season two?

Haley: “I would love to see more of her background story and all of her different personality. You know, get to know more of the character and what she’s like and how she is in different situations.”

CS4U: Bella and the Bulldogs reaches over 20 million viewers! How does it feel knowing you have a show that reaches so many people? And you guys have a lot of positive messages on your show, so how do you feel about that?

Haley: “It’s so weird! I think it’s crazy, I mean it’s crazy awesome though because it’s like having 20 million best friends who admire your work and want to meet you. I think it’s so cool to feel this energy. I mean, it’s great. I love it.”

CS4U: And Pepper is the fashionista of the group, so what would you say your fashion inspirations are?

Haley: “My fashion inspirations are…I love Courtney Halverson and Emma Roberts.”

CS4U: Would you say that your style is similar to Pepper’s, or are you guys a little different?

Haley: “Pepper is definitely more wild, I think. It kind of matches her personality; she loves vibrant colors and cool pieces. I think I’m a little more edgy than her, but I still love clothes that are kind of classy and old fashioned at the same time.”

CS4U: If you could have anyone guest star on Bella and the Bulldogs, who would you want to guest star?

Haley: “I would love the old Nick stars to come back and kind of have a Nickelodeon reunion, I think that would be really, really cool.”

CS4U: Did you watch any Nickelodeon shows when you were younger? Did you have a favorite?

Haley: “Oh yeah! That’s a really tough one. I loved Kenan and Kel.”

CS4U: That was probably one of my favorites too! I hear that you’re traveling to Paris to celebrate the first hiatus, so what are you looking forward to most in Paris?

Haley: “I have no idea! I’m so pumped I can’t even believe it right now. I’ve wanted to go to Paris pretty much all of my life. I’m so excited! I want to see the Eiffel Tower, I want to see all different kinds of stores and boutiques, and spot a Banksy.”

CS4U: Since our website is called CelebSecrets4U, do you have any secrets or hidden talents, something that the fans wouldn’t know about you?

Haley: “I don’t know, I’m like an open book! Okay, this is going to sound really weird, but I can move my eyebrows in the worm, if you know what I mean, like do the worm with my eyebrows. Is that weird? I don’t know.”

CS4U: No, that’s a hidden talent! I want to know what it’s like behind the scenes of Bella and the Bulldogs, so what’s your relationship like with the cast when you guys aren’t filming?

Haley: “It’s amazing! I’m not even kidding, we are like one big, dysfunctional, crazy family. We love cracking jokes, we love rapping, we love doing all kinds of crazy—oh, and we love pulling pranks on each other, that’s something that we do all the time. It’s really fun.”

CS4U: What would you say was the biggest prank that you guys have ever pulled on set?

Haley: Well, Brec and I—Brec plays Bella on the show—we played a prank on Coy, who plays Troy, acting like a ghost went in his room because our studio I guess is haunted, which is really cool, so we pretended like a ghost went in there, and he totally freaked out, and he got us back so we were even in the end.

CS4U: What did he do to you guys?

Haley: “He pretended like a ghost got into our dressing rooms, and we thought it was an actual ghost then, but we shouldn’t have.”

CS4U: Bella and the Bulldogs is still airing on Nickelodeon with new episodes, right?

Haley: “Yes!”

CS4U: So what can we expect from the whole gang in upcoming episodes?

Haley: “Lots and lots of comedy, a little bit of drama, and some relationships maybe going on.”

CS4U: Cool! Last but not least, why do you think our readers should check out Bella and the Bulldogs on Nickelodeon?

Haley: “I think readers should check out Bella and the Bulldogs because not only is it funny, but it has a lot of heart and a strong girl power message, which I think is really important for girls of any age, to remember that you can to anything that you want and dream. It doesn’t matter what gender you are or what color, just what’s inside that matters.”
