Have you listened to Halsey‘s remix of her single “Colors” yet? If not, we highly suggest you stop what you’re doing and listen now because this is giving us life.
The 21-year-old “New Americana” singer teamed up with Audien for the official remix. The electronic dance music artist and producer adds heavenly piano, orchestral production, and a seismic drop to the song, seamlessly transferring it to the dance floor in the process.
“My label mate Halsey is an artist that kills the precedent and inspires the rest of us to take risks,” Audien tells Complex Magazine. “Accordingly, I was excited to tackle ‘Colors’ and explore some sonic hues that I previously hadn’t.”
On the heels of the “Colors” Audien remix, Halsey storms the stage at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, April 10th. She’ll be performing “Castle” from her gold-certified full-length debut Badlands (Astralwerks) and on the soundtrack to The Huntsman: Winter’s War out in theaters April 22.
Paving the way for her North American summer headline tour, Halsey will make the festival rounds this spring. She’ll perform at Coachella (April 16 & April 23), Sweetlife Festival (May 14), and Bonnaroo (June 9 & June 11) before launching the Badlands Tour July 6 in Orlando, FL.
