Halsey is known for being unpredictable — especially when it comes to her luscious locks!
Te 20-year-old “New Americana” songstress has cut, dyed, trimmed, and styled it more times than Demi Lovato in the past year. But no matter how many times she’s changed it up, she ALWAYS pulls it off. So it’s no surprise why fans on Twitter erupted with utter excitement when the 90’s dream girl tweeted #BadlandsHair, a fun competition that would reward 5 fans with a makeover at Bleach Hair Salon.
A free makeover seems rather harmless, but of course there is a catch: the fans are not only going to get their hair personally dyed by the singer/song-writer herself, but it’s the color of Halsey’s choice. Some fans got blue, some got pink, and others got the combination of both. Obviously a nod to her recently debuted album, Badlands.
Hundreds of eager fans flocked to the salon in Soho hoping to either meet their idol and/or get a new hairstyle. Halsey also handed out free vinyls and hair crayons to fans that queued up, but were not chosen. Despite all the good vibes, not everyone was pleased. Some unhappy fans tweeted their feelings about how it wasn’t fair they couldn’t meet her even though it clearly wasn’t a meet and greet. Talk about sore losers. The artist then expressed her frustration on Twitter, but deleted the tweets soon after. Regardless, for the fans who appreciated all of her hard work, #BadlandsHair was anything, but bad.
