Isaiah Mustafa Says ‘Shadowhunters’ Season 2B Is Going to Get “Really Twisted” Towards the End

“Shadowhunters” returns for Season 2B tonight on Freeform.

The Shadowhunters questions we have been asking since the explosive spring finale in March will finally start to be answered and we’re on the edge of our seats waiting for them.

The hit Freeform drama returns for the second half of its second season tonight and each and every character will have their own problems to deal with. In the summer premiere, Shadowhunters and Downworlders are picking up the pieces after Valentine’s attack at the Institute. Downworlder numbers are down and the different packs and clans debate on what they must do to survive.

With Valentine in custody, the Institute is on high alert, but Jace carries the heaviest burden of all due to his part in igniting the Soul Sword and the secret he is keeping from Clary. But Jace and the Shadowhunters don’t have much time to mourn as a greater demon is loose in Manhattan.

Meanwhile, Izzy struggles on the road to recovery when she encounters Sebastian, a mysterious stranger, as Simon tries to understand his new Daylighter status.

Celeb Secrets caught up with Isaiah Mustafa aka Luke Garroway about what’s to come for him and the rest of the characters this season. With the Soul-Sword activated, how will he keep both the pack and his Shadowhunter family safe? How will things turn out between the Jace, Clary, and Simon love triangle? Mustafa says that the show will get “really twisted towards the end,” but you can read our full Q&A to learn more.

Shadowhunters returns tonight, June 5th @ 8PM ET/PT on Freeform.
