Izellah Rises Above Negativity with New Track “Treat You” (Premiere)

Leave it to Izellah to rise above the haters!

The 12-year-old, Queensland-based pop singer is coming out strong after her friend tried to bring her spirits down with the release of her new single “Treat You.”

Premiering one day early exclusively on Celeb Secrets, the song is a serious reminder to always be kind to others, even though you may not be treated the way you wish.

“The song is about a real life experience where someone treated me badly – probably because they didn’t understand me. So the song’s a bit sad but also a very positive one, as I can still treat someone well even if they aren’t like that to me. I love this song because it’s just me and a piano, no other instruments,” Izellah tells Celeb Secrets.

Co-written by Izellah, putting together the track was a long process that definitely paid off, as it’s truly inspiring for anyone going through a similar situation.

Although it’s quite a serious song, about 4 or 5 hours into the writing recording process, we started dancing around and having a lot of fun,” she says.  “Maybe a bit of a stress reliever as the process is intense, but it gave us the energy to complete the song in just 6 hours.”

The rest of the year is really shaping up for Izellah, as she’ll be headed to Indonesia for not only music, but possibly a movie role.

During September I’m going to Indonesia to record a song with one of the country’s leading songwriters. I’m really looking forward to this as I love the atmosphere of the country, I guess because my mum is Indonesian,” she tells us. “There’s also the possibility of a starring role in an Indonesia movie, so I’ll have to brush my local language skills!”

Listen to “Treat You” below and let us know what you think of the track by either leaving a reaction at the bottom of the post or by sending us a tweet at @celebsecrets.
