At just 16-years-old, Jay Ulloa has quite the background.

Ulloa started his career two years ago when he competed on the second season of the Spanish-language singing competition show called La Banda. After returning to Sacramento, California, Ulloa took to Instagram to create quite a name for himself — he’s not only got a whopping 214,000 followers with incredibly stylish posts, but also catchy music that’s irresistible to sing along to.

When we caught up with young singer at this year’s iHeartFiesta Latina in Miami, he told Celeb Secrets his new EP was inspired by “a girl he loved who broke his heart.”

Jay also told us it he had a difficult time picking the songs to go on the EP.

“It was really hard because I had a bunch of songs, and I wanted to put everything out,” Ulloa shared. “But, I just felt what… was really me, so I tried to put that in the smallest amount of songs I could choose…”
