Hustle and bustle of the holidays couldn’t ring more true for Jennifer Nettles as the Grammy-nominated Country superstar releases her first single on Big Machine Records, available now ahead of the official impact at Country radio on January 11.
Last week, she performed “Unlove You” during The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and appeared on the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, in addition to starring in the upcoming film Coat of Many Colors December 10, all airing on NBC. Jennifer will also continue her hosting duties for the CMA Country Christmas special on ABC this Thursday, December 3.
Penning the urgent “Unlove You” with frequent collaborator Brandy Clark, Jennifer aches on the Dann Huff-produced song: I can’t unlove you / and a heart can’t unbreak / I can’t unfeel how it felt / To feel so much myself / My whole body ached / I can’t unknow this / Lord I wish I knew how / But I can’t unlove you / So come love me for now / I can’t unlove you / So come love me for now.
The lead track sets a powerful tone of dynamic vocals, songwriting prowess and vivacious energy on Jennifer’s next solo album, due out in early 2016. Fans can already experience a sneak peek at the new music throughout her fall headline trek: PLAYING WITH FIRE TOUR with Brandy Clark and Ryan Kinder. She will kick off CMT Presents Jennifer Nettles with 2016 Next Women of Country Tour in January, along with Brandy Clark, Lindsay Ell and Tara Thompson.
