Joel Pimentel Leaves CNCO & Announces Final Live Show With The Latino Boy Band

CNCO gets ready to say goodbye to long-time bandmate Joel Pimentel, but no one is going anywhere without a final performance!

Just a day ago (May 9), the Latino boy group announced Pimentel’s plans to set his sights on new opportunities in the music world after five and a half years with the team. However, to give fans some closure, CNCO is promising one last hurrah with a live show on May 14.

In an open letter to all the fans out there (aka. CNCOwners), the team members collectively express their immense gratitude. The band writes, “we truly love you and appreciate all of the support you give us day in and day out.”

On a heart-warming note, CNCO goes on to describe their unbreakable brotherly bond: “we are and will always be brothers. We support him [Pimentel] in his next chapter, and will always, most importantly, remain a family.” If only every band breakup could be this drama-free!

For those of you who may not be too keen on the latest news in Latino music, CNCO is ending their career as a quintet on a high note. In March alone, the boy group made waves with a music video for “El Amor de Mi Vida” that’s currently nearing 4.5-million views on top of announcing a global livestream concert.

Although the sudden separation comes as a shock considering the group’s recent rise to success, CNCO resonates with concerned fans by sharing some emotional sentiments. “We know this news is saddening and is going to be as hard for all of you as it is for us, but we appreciate you sticking with us,” they write. “While it will be different, we are so excited to continue into this new era of CNCO, and can’t wait for all of you to see what we have in store for you!”

The upcoming livestream performance set for May 14 will feature tracks from CNCO’s latest album Déjà Vu. Fans from all over the world can secure their virtual tickets by registering for a performance time slot based on their location. From that point on, the band will pursue new endeavours with only four members (Richard Camacho, Erick Brian Colón, Christopher Vélez and Zabdiel De Jesús), but they’re promising quality Latino bops as usual!
