We’re only two days away until hearing the final version of Jordyn Jones‘ new single “Intimate!”
Featuring Emblem3‘s Wesley Stromberg, “Intimate” is a pop song that Jordyn hopes “will bring some good vibes to people during this difficult time.”
“[The song] is about appreciating who you’re with and spending quality time with that person,” Jones tells Celeb Secrets host Juliet Schroder over Zoom. “It’s just really enjoying every moment, finding the good and being happy right now even thought it’s kind of hard to keep your head up and smile.”
The collaboration, according to Jones, has been talked about for “five or six years,” saying that quarantine was the reason why the idea finally came to life. “He had this song and had no idea who should be on it,” Jordyn shares, “I came to his mind so now we have a song together.”

Following strict social distancing guidelines, Jordyn says that the track was recorded at Wes’ home studio and describes the process as “super safe.” The duo recorded both an acoustic and regular music video, sharing the acoustic during AwesomenessTV’s I’m A Performer panel last Saturday, a virtual event that took place during the summer-long initiative VidCon Now.
“I think it’s really cool (that VidCon went virtual this summer), Jordyn says. “I was really sad when I found out I couldn’t be [at VidCon]. I’ve been going for six years — it’s one of those main things that I do and look forward to every summer. I get to see all of my friends and I think it’s amazing that they are doing this in such a cool way and I’m super excited to participate.”
During the panel, Jordyn, along with co-host Nathan Davis Jr honored the talented community of creators around the globe as four fans were given the opportunity to sing their hearts out for a chance to perform live at the next IRL VidCon.
“We had fans submit on Twitter and people sent in videos. It was really cool and such a great opportunity because VidCon is always that convention that I’ve been performing at,” the 20-year-old explains.
I’m A Performer is the third community tentpole event from VidCon Now, following Night of Awesomeness hosted by the Merrell Twins and “Proud Together”, which honored Pride and the Black Lives Matter movement and featured James Charles, Amanda Gorman, Eugene Lee, Calle y Poché, Gigi Gorgeous, and Rebecca Black, among others.

Hitting all streaming platforms this Friday, August 28, “Intimate” is the first taste of what’s to come in terms of new music from Jordyn.
“I’ve really been taking break, but now I’m getting back into the studio and recording songs,” Jones says in terms of new music. “I have about two or three songs to come before the end of the year — but I am really focusing on ‘Intimate’ right now.”
“Since my EP I’ve gotten a lot better — I found myself and my sound and I’m just really proud. I’m excited to have more music out.”
