Lauren Elizabeth Opens Up About Rebranding Her Clothing Line to ‘Lauren Elizabeth Collection’

Just in time for the holidays, Lauren Elizabeth gave her iconic XLE clothing line a makeover and to no surprise, we’re obsessed with the new pieces. Rebranding to Lauren Elizabeth Collection, the new line is apart of the LA Collective brand that is known for partnering with leading celebrities, personalities and style influencers.

Lauren Elizabeth Collection is entirely made in Los Angeles using only 100% organic cotton fabrics. Boasting luxury loungewear in new colors with a refined fit, pieces range from sizes XS-XL and include shorts, hoodies, leggings and sweaters and are priced from $88-108.

“I have been designing and creating clothing for a few years now and was ready to take it all to the next level. My first thought was LA Collective and I made it my mission to partner with them. They have the same approach to clothing as I do and they get it done. My brand now aligns with my morals, work ethic, and personal style resulting in amazing clothing,” the 26-year-old tells Celeb Secrets.

“I’m so proud of the six new styles we launched, but I do have a soft spot for the knit leggings. I think it’s truly one of those holy sh*t moments when you try them on IRL,” she adds, “I pushed hard to make the knit leggings happen and they’re our best seller.”

In true Lauren Elizabeth fashion, the social media starlet documented the rebrand in a recent vlog, giving her fans an inside look at how hands-on she was in bringing each piece to life before its launch earlier this month. You can take a look at the full video below:

Celeb Secrets sits down (virtually) with Lauren to talk all about the rebrand and the creative process, what influences her style, and some of her favorite pieces from the line. She also hinted that more collections are coming in the near future and if its anything like this one, we’ll for sure be buying it all.

Celeb Secrets: Congrats on partnering with LA Collective for the new Lauren Elizabeth Collection. What stood out to you in terms of LA Collective that made you want to partner with them?

Lauren Elizabeth: “Thank you so much! I’m still in shock! I knew what I wanted when it came to expanding my business. I have been designing and creating clothing for a few years now and was ready to take it all to the next level. My first thought was LA Collective and I made it my mission to partner with them. They have the same approach to clothing as I do and they get it done. I’m very specific and I knew they could handle everything I wanted to throw at them. They are made in LA, hands-on, and THE partner to be with if you’re creating clothing. I’m beyond grateful for their support and am so proud to be on LAcollective.com.”

CS: Can you touch on the differences your clothing has now that it’s with LA Collective?

LE: “I’ve learned a lot in the past few years. I knew I needed to take my business production to LA. I’m too hands-on and have extreme perfectionism problems that don’t function well overseas. The difference now is, I am even MORE (if that’s even possible) in control of my pieces. The quality is higher and still at a price I am proud of. My brand now aligns with my morals, work ethic, and personal style resulting in amazing clothing. We refined my styles, obsessed over fit details, fabrics, and colors. It’s a dream come true.”

CS: The rebrand obviously includes some of your best sellers — what do you think really stood out to your fans with these pieces that made them so popular?

LE: “I had a random idea to do a loungewear collection. I’m a homebody and it’s clothing that’s simply true to me. The initial drop two years ago instantly sold out. I was shocked that people were on the same wave as me! I think at the end of the day we all want to FEEL good. If we don’t feel good, we can’t ‘look’ good. My pieces make you feel good from the inside out. It’s cheesy but it’s true. I knew I was onto something, and the journey to LA collective began.”

CS: The collection is really inspired by the west coast lifestyle, and you’ve been an LA resident for quite sometime now. What went into picking these pieces?

LE: “Honestly, anyone that meets me can immediately tell I’m not from LA. I’ve picked up some of the best qualities that LA has to offer and figured out which ones weren’t my speed. I’ve enjoyed staying in and being cozy long before it was cool. I think I found the perfect middle ground of that luxurious feel that’s also realistic. I’ve kept my Chicago roots and added some LA spice. Picking these pieces is completely a reflection of the women I’ve become through all of that. I know feeling good and my best self is the most important thing to me. So I made clothes to reflect that and share that same feeling with the world.”

CS: Do you influence it off your own style or is there one designer that you really look up to?

LE: “It has always come from my own style. I obviously love following fashion accounts on Instagram and get ideas based on certain vibes. The reason I started making clothing is that I was always looking for something before it was popular. I would find something close enough to the vibe I wanted and it would be $1,000 which is insane. When it finally was cool, I would try a bunch of clothes and they were never quite right. There are so many details that go into my designs it’s honestly annoying for my team. Sometimes they’re like, ‘what do you even mean?!’ I say, ‘JUST TRUST!!’ So everything I create is the exact perfect version of what I want to wear. My friends always say, ‘Damn this is even more incredible in person everyone needs to try these on!!!’ Like I said, just trust.’

CS: Do you have a favorite piece of clothing from your the rebranded collection?

LE: “This is hard because every time I put on a new piece it is my favorite. I’m so proud of the six new styles we launched. But I do have a soft spot for the knit leggings. I think it’s truly one of those holy sh*t moments when you try them on IRL. I remember not being able to explain exactly what I envisioned for the piece and doing the whole just trust me thing. ‘Call the factory back and explain they CAN make it!!!’ I pushed hard to make the knit leggings happen and they’re our best seller.”

CS: Since we’re Celeb Secrets, can you share a secret from the behind-the-scenes process from putting together a clothing line that people wouldn’t know just from looking at the pieces?

LE: “The obvious answer is they don’t know the blood sweat and tears that go into of course! But truly, the tears were real. I created this collection while balancing so many MOODS sometimes I thought I was going to lose my mind. I asked if we could name it the Depression Collection and I probably shouldn’t be saying that but I think it’s hilarious. I got a hard no, obviously. But that’s how important this is to me and how much I truly love what I do. I pushed through every 2020 mood to get the world these pieces so we could all have a much-needed mood booster.”

CS: Do you have any plans to release more collections in the future?

LE: “Duh!!!! This is just the beginning. Trust.”

CS: Do you have your eye on any trends that you would like to incorporate into future lines?

LE: “I love that the style I always gravitate towards is basically a trend now. Cool, calm, and collected. Get excited about more coziness all year round and easy-breezy vibes for summer as well. Eek!”
