Lauv Drops His New Music Video for “Easy Love”

It was love at first listen for me and Lauv‘s music. The first time I heard his current single, “Like Me Better,” I knew he was a star on the rise poised to take over everyone’s playlists in no time. Well now, the 23-year-old singer/songwriter and producer just released his song “Easy Love,” and its accompanying cinematic music video, and I found myself hooked all over again. Don’t say I didn’t warn you if you wear out the replay button watching this one.

The lyrics tackle a different story than we have heard from Lauv so far, yet his words are as honest and relatable as ever as he tells the tale of a transformative relationship. Do you want an easy love, or something more complicated?

“This song is about surrendering. It’s about shining a light to the imperfections, the struggles and the insanity in a relationship… all of the real, and embracing it,” Lauv shared in a statement about “Easy Love.” “It’s about breaking the fourth wall and revealing the not-always-so-glorious reality, which is exactly what we did in the music video.”

If you need to hear these words come to life live, keep an eye out for this singer all over the globe. Later in October and throughout November, Lauv is going to be supporting Ed Sheeran on his global tour, starting in Osaka, Japan and wrapping in Dubai, UAE. The remainder of his US live tour dates with Louis the Child are as follows:

Oct 12 Houston, TX White Oak Music Hall
Oct 13 Austin, TX Emo’s
Oct 18 Fayetteville, AR George’s Majestic
Oct 19 Birmingham, AL Iron City
Oct 20 Atlanta, GA Tabernacle
Oct 21 Raleigh, NC The Ritz
