Liam Payne‘s addressing what’s going on with his upcoming music.
Ever since the release of his triple-platinum breakout single “Strip That Down” with Quavo, we’ve been itching for new music from Liam. He followed up with the catchy “Bedroom Floor,” and has collaborated with artists with Zedd, Rita Ora, and J Balvin for other chart-worthy hits. It’s had us thinking… when will we be getting a full-length album from Liam?
On Thursday, the former One Direction member took to social media to clear the air on the future of his music. While we’re not getting an official album from him, Payne is holding over his fans by releasing an EP next Friday.

“As you may know, the last few months have seen some big changes for me,” he said in a statement. “I looked at some of the songs on my album which were done a while ago and they felt from another age. I’m determined for my debut album to truly represent me. I’m now back in the studio working hard to finalize the final few new songs on the record – I’m genuinely excited about the music I’m writing and recording and I can’t wait for it to be ready for you all, watch this space. In the meantime, this EP is a collection of songs that I’m really proud of and want you all to hear…tell me what you think. As always, thanks for your support – it means the world to me.”
First Time will feature four new songs as well as a collaboration with French Montana on the lead single/title track. It seems like Liam is super excited to release these collection of songs and we’ll be right there supporting it stream after stream.
