Lil Nas X, Kendrick Lamar, and Jack Harlow Among Top Nominees for 2022 MTV VMAs – Full List

Some of the best music videos from the world’s greatest artists have been nominated for the 2022 MTV VMAs!

MTV announced the finalists for each category on their social media handles today (July 26) for their annual award show that honor artists’ music videos they have released within the year.

Jack Harlow, Lil Nas X, and Kendrick Lamar lead the pack with 7 nominations each; Both Harlow and Lil Nas X have nominations for their hit collaboration “Industry Baby,” while it’s Lamar’s first nomination since 2018.

Harry Styles and Doja Cat are not far behind, as they are up for six moon person awards each, including “Video of the Year.” Other top nominees include Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, and Drake, with Kacey Musgraves, Becky G. and Maneskin earning their first ever VMA nominations.

Starting today, fans can begin voting for their favorite artists and music videos by visiting vote.mtv.com. Voting will last until August 19, 2022, however voting for “Best New Artist” will be open into the show on Sunday, August 28, 2022.  

With a host yet to be confirmed, the 2022 MTV VMAs air LIVE from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ on Sunday, August 28th @ 8PM ET/PT on MTV.
